“Basically, what I and others want to know most when looking at reviews above all = “Is this biz/person trustworthy?” followed by “Are they competent?” So, I’ll cover both. I was first referred to [Efrain/Biz Name] by our handyman, Jim B., of more than a decade who’s been there through thick and thin for us whenever we needed him even when it had nothing to do with home repair (E.G., like picking up my mom & her luggage at the airport when my father had become wheelchair bound w/cancer) and become, basically, part of the family over time. Not surprisingly, everyone Jim has ever referred us to has been someone we loved working with and, unsurprisingly, straight as an arrow. And that describes Efrain, Drain X’s owner, well. Even if he has no time for a routine job for a week or more, he’s always come quickly if it were an emergency. He’s fun to talk with if you like to shoot the sh*t while someone’s doing a job and he communicates well. Here’s a text from a renter (we rent our home in Montecito out in the summer) on August 12th, 2026: “Efrain is amazing, very capable and professional. He did an amazing job and you should have no problems with plumbing in our part of the house. Not sure how he did all of it without help.” In person, he said more along the same line. He’s done at least a dozen jobs for us, including several big ones. All went quickly and far more cheaply than you’d get with some local franchise and 80% of independents.”

“Efrain is one of the best and most dedicated and honest plumbers that I have ever been associated with in my own homes in Texas and my rental vacation home in Montecito over the past few years. The owner of the vacation home paid for his services but he was very satisfied as well.”
